エネルギーをたくさん使って参加した分、悩んだこともありました。自分はメンバーに何か与えられているのか、殻を破れているのかわからなくなることもありましたが、考えを巡らせることがすでに成長に続くものだと感じました。話し合いの中で一つの言葉だけでも一人一人定義が違い、丁寧に話し合うことが大切だと学びました。また企業様が私たちに何を求めているのか、会社として目指すものや社員さんの考えをしっかり理解し、噛み砕く過程が難しかった分、やりがいもありました。

There were many times when I was seriously worried. There were times when I wondered if I was giving the members any important insights or new ideas. However, I felt that thinking like this was already leading to my own growth. During the discussion, I learned that even a single word has a different definition for each person and that it is important to discuss it carefully. Also, the process of understanding what the company wants from us, what we are aiming for as a company, and the thoughts of our employees, and breaking them down into smaller pieces was difficult, but also very rewarding.

当時は、自分自身起業に向けて準備していたときだったので、企業が新規事業を立案する時の流れを知りたくて参加しました。時代の変化の中で、現在の課題を出しながら、未来を見据えて新しい施策を考える経験は、今に活きています。ありきたりの枠にはまらない、自由な発想を推奨するDEMOLAの文化もおもしろくて素敵だなと思いました。新しい物事を自由な発想で考えたいと思っている人には、ぜひ参加してみてほしいです。

At the time, I was preparing to start my own business, so I joined the program to learn more about the process when a company plans a new business. The experience of thinking of new measures with an eye on the future while addressing current issues in the midst of the changing times is something that I still use today. I also found Demola's culture, which encourages free thinking outside of the conventional box, to be interesting and wonderful. I would like to encourage anyone who wants to think freely about new things to join us.

悩んで、悩んで考え抜いて出来たアイデアを企業に発表する。DEMOLAでは、このような、なかなか体験できない機会をたくさん経験させてもらいました。その中で、自分自身の課題の発見やチームで動くことの大変さも学び、自分の力になっていったと思います。
今でも同じチームだった人とは関わりがあり、別の機会でプロジェクトを一緒に行ったこともあります。
私は現在大学2年生なので、来年度またDEMOLAに挑戦していきたいと思います！

The ideas that were created after thinking through and struggling as a team were presented to the company.
At DEMOLA, I was able to experience many opportunities like this that are not easily available. Through these experiences, I was able to discover my own issues and learn the difficulties of working in a team, which I think helped me grow.
I still keep in touch with the people who were on my team, and we have even worked on projects together on other occasions.
I would like to try DEMOLA again!

メンバー全員が専門性が違うことに加え対企業というこのプログラムはとても難しく、それ以上にとても楽しいものでした。どのようにチームの方向性を決めていけば全員が満足に動くことができるのかということや、限られた時間の中で企業様や周囲からいかに情報をつかむことができるのか、アイデアを深めることができるかということがあまり経験がなかったのでこれからの活動のための良い経験でした。また、企業様のビジネスの考え方や見ていることを少しでも体験できたことはとても光栄でした。

The fact that all the members had different specialties, this program was very difficult, but also very fun. It was a good experience for my future activities because I have not had much experience in how to decide the direction of the team so that everyone can work satisfactorily, how to get information from the company and the people around us in a limited time, and how to deepen our ideas. It was a great experience for my future activities. Also, it was a great honor to be able to experience, even if only a little, the way companies think about business and what they are looking at.

DEMOLAに参加して、自分の成長につながったと感じる瞬間が2つあります。1つ目は、JAMといった形式で開催されるレクチャーの時間です。私はそこで、事業化のノウハウの他に、現在地球が抱える課題の深刻さを学びました。2つ目はファシリテーターや課題提供企業側の社員さんからのフィードバックの時間です。企業が大切にしている価値観や事業化で重要な点を学ぶことができます。この2つから私はより広い視野を持って物事を考えることができるようになりました。

There were two moments when I felt that my participation in DEMOLA led to my growth. The first is the lecture time held in the form of JAM. There, I learned not only the know-how of commercialization but also the seriousness of the issues that the earth is currently facing. The second is the feedback time from the facilitators and the employees of the companies providing the assignments, where we learn about the values that the companies value and what is important for commercialization. From these two experiences, I have been able to think about things with a broader perspective.

DEMOLAによって大きく2つの体験をすることができました。1つは「バイアスの破壊」です。日頃から自分自身がいかに短期的で偏った視点になっていたかに気付かされ、アイデアを生み出す過程の中で、これまでの自分を壊し、イノベーション思考を身につけることができました。2つ目が「多様性と寛容性の大切さ」です。多様性のあるメンバー構成によって、1つの物事に対して様々な議論やアイデアに発展し、それらを認め合うことで、また新たな視点が生まれるといった好循環を体験することができました。
この体験は、今後の私の仕事に大きな影響を与えるものになりました。

DEMOLA allowed me to experience two major things. The first is the destruction of bias.
In the process of creating ideas, I was able to break down my old self and learn to think innovatively.
The second is the importance of diversity and tolerance. The diversity of the team members allowed us to experience a virtuous cycle of discussions and ideas, and the mutual recognition of these ideas led to new perspectives.
This experience will have a great impact on my future work.
